How It WorksOur Honeymoon Registry is EASY TO USE and ONLY TAKES A FEW MINUTES to get set up. With Go Honeymooning you decide what “gifts” to request and you decide how much to ask for. Some registries require you to book your activities and travel through a specific travel agency, which limits the types of activities and gifts you can register for. When you use Go Honeymooning you receive the cash and you are in charge.
There are just 3 easy steps:This is an easy process that takes between 5 and 15 minutes to complete depending on how much personal detail you want to include. With an easy-to-use drop down menu you will select the “gifts” that you would like to have included on your registry and how much you want to request for each gift. You can also just have a “Honeymoon General Fund” and request a dollar amount. You can provide a brief or detailed description for each gift. Your personal page includes the option of posting a picture of yourselves, a little info on your wedding and a brief description of your honeymoon plans. This “personalization” is important as you will receive better results from your registry if you personalize it a little. 2. Notify your guests You will have a personal website address to send your guests and include in your wedding invitation. Your personal link will take people directly to your registry page. Guests can also search by name from our home page. 3. Collect your money and enjoy your Dream Honeymoon Whenever you are ready we will send you a check for the total amount of the available “gift” funds in your registry, which you can use for your Dream Honeymoon. Your check will be sent via U.S. Mail to the address on file, which you should receive within 3 to 5 business days. Then you Go Honeymooning and enjoy your new life together!! Tips for creating your registry:As an example, you might decide to ask for a horseback riding excursion or a romantic dinner. With some activities you may have already researched the cost while other items you may just want to estimate based on a reasonable guess. For example if you’d like a nice bottle of wine at dinner, you may want to increase the requested amount for that gift. When determining gift requests, make sure you account for the 7.5% fee that will be deducted from the total. For more expensive items such as airfare or a cruise you may want to break up the amounts into smaller requests. Instead of asking for one gift of $1,000 for airfare you may want to ask for 10 gifts of $100 each. We encourage you to go to our “Resources” page for great tips and information about honeymoon destinations and to print out our helpful “Honeymoon Checklist” to make sure you’re not forgetting anything. |
